Local Government Council Areas and Local Councils Development Areas in Lagos State
commenced the construction of roads simultaneously, turning their communities into
construction hub.
The road construction being done is part of the intervention of the state government to support the councils and LCDAs in meeting part of their responsibilities to their people.
By this arrangement, each council chairman is expected to convene a stakeholders meeting where two roads will be picked and submitted to the state government for construction.
The elated chairmen and chairpersons recently organised the stakeholders’ meetings in their respectful council areas, where they informed the stakeholders of their plans and stressed that construction would commence immediately.
Recently, the council helmsmen moved to their chosen roads to flag off the construction, whereby they sought the cooperation of the residents to enable the contractors to complete the job at the appointed times.
Most of the chairmen chose roads that are longer in length and that will be useful to majority of the
residents.
Residents appreciated the governor and council bosses for the interventions on their roads, which will significantly improve their productivity and income.
The 114 roads, when completed, will open more window of opportunities to the residents.
