Honourable Segun Odunmbaku, the executive chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Lagos State, yesterday visited Ogba Primary School to inspect the ongoing fence construction and other proposed projects in the school premises.
The visit was informed by the Chairman’s dedication to improving and maintaining the infrastructure in public schools within the LCDA.
The ongoing fence restoration was a much-needed project to improve the school’s security and safety in accordance with the Hon. Segun Odunmbaku administration’s H.E.Y.S Agenda’s Education Development pillar.
Known for his rigorous attention to detail, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku carefully reviewed the construction work and held conversations with the project contractor and school administration to make sure the construction followed the approved standard and was finished on schedule.
After inspecting the fence construction, the Chairman proceeded to visit the proposed six block classroom to be constructed by his administration and assess the condition of the playground and other amenities within the school premises, taking note of any issues that require immediate attention.
During his visit, the Chairman also emphasized the importance of community involvement in the development of public schools. He urged parents and members of the community to support the ongoing projects being undertaken by local artisans as a community driven project.
Before leaving, Hon Segun Odunmbaku alongside the SLG, Hon Olaide John Bello, promised to address any challenges identified during the visit and pledged to continue investing in the education sector within the LCDA.
He expressed his confidence in the progress of the ongoing projects and reassured everyone that the Council would ensure their timely completion.
