Chairman, Epe Local Government Area of Lagos State, Princess Surah Animashaun, mourned the demise of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Oladotun Olakanle (Tantolorun).
She described him as a visionary, dedicated, selfless, and hardworking executive chairman of Onigbongbo, who represented and promoted the council as a good ambassador.
Animashaun described his death as a rude shock and commiserated with his immediate family, the people of Onigbongbo, LCDA and the Lagos state in general.
She prayed to God to grant repose to his soul and stand by the family and the Onigbongbo community he left behind.
The Chairman said, “I received the news of the death of the council Boss, Hon. Olakanle, with shock and sadness.
“I condole with his family members, the people of Onigbongbo, and all residents of the LCDA and the State on the passage of such an illustrious son of the state.
“Olakanle was a great ambassador of the LCDA, who promoted the council and made immense contributions to its growth. It is my prayer that God grants repose to his soul and grant him Aljana Firdausi,” Animashaun prayed.
She said Olakanle during his lifetime embodied exceptional leadership, dedication, and compassion, noting that his demise would be left an indelible mark on his community.
Animashaun said his untimely departure leaves a void, but his selfless service and achievements would forever inspire them, noting that “on behalf of the people of Epe LG, I offer my sincere condolences to the family of Hon. Oladotun Olakanle, the people of Onigbongbo LCDA, conference of 57 LG&LCDA, and APC Lagos State.”
