Nigerian social media personality and crossdresser Idris Okuneye, known as Bobrisky, has been released from prison after serving his sentence.
Bobrisky was convicted on April 5 by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for intentionally damaging Nigerian currency.
He faced four charges related to naira abuse and entered a guilty plea in the Federal High Court in Lagos, presided over by Justice A.O. Awogboro.
Following his conviction, Bobrisky was released from prison on Monday, August 5, 2024.
He was seen on video with friends, vibing to Mohbad’s and Chike’s Egwu song.
His friends were quoted saying, ‘We are out of prison. Congratulation Bobrisky.”
